Tropea in Mainz

Super friendly and nice. I ordered Coke while waiting for my order to be delivered. It was more like a Zero or Pepsi in taste; which was hardly carbonated. Pizza had a very thin dough, with a large pinch of salt and a hint of fish that was not ordered and should not taste like that.

Food good, waiting time when the shop is full, over an hour, pizzas were ordered. The female waitress is attentive, but not the young man. We pointed out with fingers that we wanted to milk something, the waiter answered, you can pay below. Were asked to leave around 10.30 p.m., because the tables should be set for the next day (larger party) although we still had drinks. It would have been better not to stand obtrusively next to us until we left. It's a shame, because service is the be-all and end-all. Little things that don't have to be. Lighting for the parking lots would be an advantage. We decided, even though the food is good, not to come back. Then it was often annoying. In the summer we sat outside with about 10 people, 3 of us were asked whether something was still desired, the rest of us were once again ignored by the young man. Does not have to be.

Very great pizzeria, table reservation is a must. Eating out and arriving with a family. !!!

The best Italian there is in a wide area. Familiar, very friendly, top quality, nicely decorated.

Very nice place with great ambience and excellent food!

In itself there is not much to complain about. Eat delicious, sometimes something different than the "normal Italian". The operation should be a little bit more attentive. The interior is harmonious. The exterior is expandable, at least as far as the parking situation is concerned. The prices are slightly higher, but reasonable. All in all, very good for a special evening, even if the tables are a little tight. I will be back, even if not regularly. More reviews and more on YouTube - The way is our goal ;-)

Extremely accommodating. Delicious! Reservations recommended. Friendly staff. Appealingly designed. Separate space for events available for rent. Kudos to the entire Giardina family. The redesign "Am Kesseltal 8, 55129 Mainz" is much nicer and more central. I would be happy to recommend it!

Very good attention and although we only ordered something light, pizzas and salads, they were delicious. Pizza Popeye and Etna very rich and good wine.

World class! Delicious food and great wine, served in a lovingly decorated ambience. Also for festivities with large groups absolutely recommendable! Very nice and accommodating owners, who always acted courteous and guests oriented. We spent a great afternoon / evening there, which will be remembered for a long time. Very nice Italian restaurant with nice ambience and extremely nice staff. The restaurant is a bit hidden behind the Total gas station, but definitely worth the "trip". The menu offers typical appetizers, pizza, pasta, meat and fish also daily options, which I think is nice, because you can often try something new. The food is really delicious and we like to come back.

Since moving to the new location, the restaurant is not so close to us from Mainz for us to reach - but we gladly accept this. Food and service are perfect. Price performance was great! The new location is very nicely decorated. We like to eat here and are always happy when we go here. Especially the pizza is nice and crispy. The ambience is great!

We were there at noon and had to wait a long time to be placed. The waitress chatted rather loudly at the bar. It was also unduly long before we could place the order. Buffalo fillet (€ 33 with side dishes) is on the menu. I would have liked to have eaten this special meat, as it is rarely offered gastronomically. But since the reception / waiting time / dirty tablecloth / no napkin received left a certain impression, I decided on a much cheaper meal. After we finally ordered, the food came quickly. My request to bring the salad in advance and not shipped at the same time, of course everything came together. Conclusion: Lasagna with a small salad € 8.50 (lunch menu) was good, nothing exceptional, solid. It is a matter of opinion whether an Italian restaurant has to add a creamy pink sauce to the salad. My companion had pasta with a saffron cream, which was probably very good. There is probably nothing wrong with the kitchen, there are a few things wrong in the front.
